Race Packet Information

Race registration includes bib number, chip timing, and a FREE tech shirt for the first 5,500 registered runners.  We take pride in keeping our early registration for individuals at a low rate of $25.  This rate remains the lowest registration fee in the area.

Please try to pick up your race packet before race day at one of our convenient packet pickup locations.

You can pickup your race packet at one of the following locations.  We highly recommend you pickup your race packet before race day.

Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center Packet Pickup

Saturday, November 17th - 11:00 am-3:00 pm

Sunday, November 18th - 11:00 am-3:00 pm

Runners Grove Packet Pickup

Wednesday, November 21st - 1:00 pm-5:00 pm

Tivoli Theatre Packet Pickup

Thanksgiving/Race Day-Thursday, November 22nd - 7:00 am-8:00 am

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female winners.  1st place will receive a $100 gift card prize, 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card prize, and 3rd place will receive a $25 gift card prize.

Course Information

The 2012 5K course has been changed due to construction on Carpenter Street.  The course is similar to our certified route used over the past several years.  The start line and finish line locations will be unchanged.

Course description

The race begins by heading south on Main Street through downtown Downers Grove.  The course leaves Main and begins to loop through the neighborhood west of downtown.  The runners will then enter the beautiful Denburn Woods neighborhood.  After leaving Denburn Woods, runners will head east past the Downers Grove train station and begin one last loop in the Randall Park neighborhood.  The race will finish in the heart of downtown on Curtiss Street.  The finish location provides runners and walkers with easy access to the Post Race Party located in the Downers Grove Parking Garage.  See the map below.
